Join fellow MPI Michigan members as we learn about greening our meetings at Cobo Center, a green meetings industry council ASTM/APEX standard certified facility.  The day will begin by learning how to green your meetings from the planner side.  Mariela Mcilwraith, Director of Sustainability at the Events Industry Council will provide insight on how planners can make their meetings greener without breaking the bank.

After lunch, a team from Cobo Center will present a history of their green program, as well as a synopsis of how they have been successful and how they plan to continue in sustainability and expand on their green endeavors.

Both sessions will include tips on small changes that you can make when upper level management support is not there or budget appears to be a prohibiting factor.

For those who are interested, tours of Cobo Center will be offered at the close of the educational session.
